About this item
Slip casting is a traditional ceramic forming technique used for pottery and other ceramics. The process involves pouring liquid clay (slip) into a mold, allowing it to set, and then removing the pattern pieces, which are cut and shaped into the desired form. After shaping, the piece takes 3 to 4 days to dry before it is ready for bisque firing. Once bisque fired, I hand-paint each item with glaze, followed by a final firing at 1200 degrees Celsius.
Each piece is handmade using various techniques, resulting in unique imperfections that add character and individuality to every item. The vase stands 5.5 inches tall with a 5-inch width and a 1.5-inch opening. Its playful pink textured design adds a burst of charm and creativity to your home decor, making it not just a decorative piece, but also a thoughtful gift for your loved ones.
